Capturing Emergence With The Right Tools
Inspiration and ideas can come from the most unlikely sources. Sometimes you can easily miss the themes and opportunities that arise spontaneously out of your research.
In the EP 14 of the eBook Revolution, I interviewed Joanna Penn. She talked about the importance of emergence as an indispensable part of her creativity and inspiration. You can listen to the podcast here.
Most of all, Joanna touched on the tools that help her be the productive writer she is. So, in this episode of the eBook Revolution I go deeper into how Evernote and Scrivener can help you capture those strange and wonderful moments when emergence arises.
Scrivener and Evernote
Scrapbooking is a way to help focus your unconscious mind on the themes and events that interest you. In pre-internet days this involved snipping stories out of magazines and newspapers, glueing them in an A5 scrapbook then joining the dots to see which themes emerged and engaged you.
Thankfully, it’s a lot easier these interweb days with excellent tools like Scrivener and Evernote which make research and digital scrapbooking very simple.
Listen to Ep16 of the eBook Revolution and learn how tools like Scrivener and Evernote can help you capture emergence when it happens.
